Did Amelia Earhart care for the environment?

Mohamed Szollosi: They probably just named a few things after her because she was a suffragette.

Tereasa Sorensen: She was an aviatrix in the 1930s -- when only a few people were into conservation, and nobody was into "the environment," as we define that word.

Cassidy Pangrazio: She was a famous aviator(one of the most famous female aviators). There are many schools named after George Washington and he was never a teacher. I suppose it is a way to remember a person's courage and bravery.

Margart Stimpert: She was famous; things, names, towns, cities and the like are usually named after famous people; for instance Washington and Washington D.C. It's very simple to understand who they are named after. It's an emotional thing; a thing of sentiment.
