Can a person without a teaching license get a Masters in education?

Virgil Menefee: Yes - anybody can get an MA in education - having a teaching license does not matter. Some MA programs include the courses you need for your licensure.

Robt Heemstra: Yes, many people (unfortunately) have Phds and work at the Department of Education who never have had a teaching license and have never taught school one day in their lives.

Elmo Tervo: Yes. In fact, there are a lot of masters in teaching programs specifically designed to transition people into teaching, who are not now teachers.

Trying to find my healthy weight? Underweight, little energy, but I want to remain athletic?

Trying to find my healthy weight? Underweight, little energy, but I want to remain athletic?

answers 0:I'm 5ft 4in and my BMI reads about 16... I had a lot of downs in my life and between not wanting to eat and not being able to eat (braces, allergies) I just dropped the pounds and at first my family thought it was good for me and that I looked fitter or prettier. I really don't give much a c.rap about what I look like, as I don't date or want to, I want to pursue an athletic lifestyle, continuing my horseback riding and animal training sports as well as doing physical labor on my farm. I don't want to just start eating a bunch of fat sloppy stuff and get too much fat on me, but underweight I just don't have that much energy and it bothers me. I'm about 95 pounds at the moment. About two years ago before my depression, allergies, and d! ental appliances killed my eating habits I stayed around 105-110, but as my calorie intake went down and my activity increased from exercising every few days to every day, I dropped down as low as 88 pounds. I ate a bunch of fattening stuff to keep weight on me for one week, all it did was give me 0.5 pounds of MUSCLE, not fat (though I do want my muscles to develop), and I got a sugar headache because the stuff had a lot of sugar. So, should I just eat as much protein as I can and stop increasing my calorie intake when I get to 110?I'm a 17yo woman, btw. Probably work physically about 6 hours a day every day moderate, with intense bursts lasting up to an hour....Show moreanswers 1:* My waist circumference is 26 inches and my hips are almost 29 inches.answers 2:Yes I would increase your protein intake. But at the tiny weight your at, it would be good if you added in more calories also.

Need Japan study abroad ADVICE? :D?

Connie Dickirson: I dont know how you define a prestigous Univesity?Tokyo is too noisy , fast life and too many party animalsHiroshima should be a cool place and will be easier to advance language skills and make Japanese friendsStaying in a dormitory in Hiroshima will definitely improve your Japanese but you must self discipline your self on routines , procedures and time to a very great extent than any home stay.Never be political in Hiroshima ( ie saying that US was right to drop the atomic bomb andetc) you will loose all your Japanese friends overnight. Do visit the Peace museum and try to understand what it was like to be hit by the atomic bombIn Japan the greated advantage you can have is knowing how and when to speak JapaneseJapanese like any other people will be your friends if you are sincere and show genuine interst and remember the names and Greeting wordsWith your Chice I will always choose Hiroshima...Show more

Lonnie Jehle: I live in Kobe right now. I'! ve also visited Tokyo and Hiroshima. What I would like to say is that if you decide to study abroad in Tokyo, you won't learn Japanese as quick as being in other places where there are less gaijins. I've decided to do my study abroad in Kobe and I loved it since it's not too quiet but it's not too busy. I live 30 minutes away from Osaka which is basically the party district. (Tokyo doesn't even compare close to it)To be honest, Tokyo isn't as great as what people think of it to be. It's just an opinion but all of my friends who were in my study abroad program had the same opinion. Hiroshima seems alright and is a beautiful place for sure. However, the night life isn't too great. Try to think of what you are looking for in your study abroad experience! (I really don't think Tokyo is a good place to learn Japanese, however.) Since you're going to further advance your Japanese language skills and to make a lot of Japanese friends, I would lean more towards Hiroshima rather than! Tokyo although I really recommend Kansai area.I'm not sure ab! out which university is considered great and such but if you are studying abroad from your university's program, since you're not even graduating from the Japanese university so I don't think it should matter too much.I would definitely recommend doing homestay. It will help you a lot with your Japanese and get to know more of how real Japanese live and do.People in Tokyo is a bit cold from what I've experienced compared to people from Kansai area. That's all I can tell you from my experience. But don't just take my word but really research and see what you want in your study abroad experience.Hope you have a great study abroad experience....Show more

Alexandria Popik: Tokyo is the capital of Japan, and the place where over 13 million people live, making it one of the most populous cities in the world but also, a big city to visit, find out more with hotelbye . Most of the city was devastated by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, and then again by the bombing in the! WWII, however, Tokyo was able to achieve a remarkably rapid recovery both times. The main attraction of Tokyo is the Imperial Palace with its beautiful 17th-century parks surrounded by walls and moats. The palace is still in use by the Imperial family....Show more

Tobie Oshea: Of path it is bigger to research the language earlier than coming, however If you reside in Tokyo, there may be just about little need for it as just about all indicators are in English and you'll uncover English speakme support at almost all govt workplaces. I've recognized individuals who've lived right here for 10 years or extra and cannot even use ample Japanese to reserve in a restaurant, however they may be able to nonetheless control to reside right here simply exceptional. Often instances individuals in Tokyo will simply talk English to you for no motive, or despite the fact that you talk Japanese to them. In rural locations of Japan, individuals are so much much less prone to be of a p! rime degree of English capacity, however extra generally than no longer! they're going to appreciate realistic terms. In Kyoto such a lot indicators can be in English from what I take into account (It's been approximately eight years given that I've been there even though). As a long way as finding out, you are going to be exceptional. Your classmates all research English and can as a rule be awesome excited to train you Japanese and to check out their English on you. How to find a homeschool for special education?

Dawn Saha: And I am wrong about him being a "foster child." She has court ordered custody and is receiving no monetary help with the child.

Nia Monopoli: Homeschool is done by the parent (or in this case the fosterparent) at home. There is no "special ed homeschool". There is only homeschool, done in the way that works best for the individual chid's needs, at the child's pace.I don't know about where you live, but where I live, foster kids cannot be homeschooled. The state insists they must go to public school. They won't even allow private school, even at the fosterparent's own expense....Show more

Coleman Deliberato: Home school is not a business. The foster mother would have to teach the child at home. She would need approval from the state in order to do that. If the child in in special education and not receiving services at the public school, hire a special education advocate to help enforce the Individual Education Plan that the child will surely h! ave.

Reyes Brunell: Thank you everyone. You have all been very helpful and I understand it now. Your answers are greatly appreciated.

Azalee Ahrendes: i can see your problem. I'm sure some homeschooling curriculum's have a special education program for them so call them to make sure there is one. if not some homeschooling programs let your children learn at your own pace. see if there is a program like FLVA(florida virtual academy). they are sponsored by k12 who provide everything. i am currently in this program and i get to learn at my own rate and i did get 1 or 2 subjects a grade back so i could learn them and get better. that provide the computer, internet and books for free. so just look up k12 and ask about it....Show more

Maye Delk: your local department of education or council could be of help here even go see the head teacher of the local special school they would be of help i am sure

Derrick Cacioppo: Repost this in the homeschooling sectio! n with the age and type of disability. I'm sure you will get ! better answers there. :)

Mitchel Demry: First of all, you have to read the homeschool laws for your state. You can find them on your states dept of education website. In some states, homeschool is considered a 'private' school. I'm not sure what you mean by 'find a homeschool' for special ed child. The teacher (parent) of the homeschooled child usually finds help for the child, either with programs they do themselves to help the child at home, pay to send child to an Learning disability school, pay for services such as LindaMoodBell for dyslexia, etc. There is no 'special ed homeschool'. I understand what you mean about the school being bad. It's VERY common all over the USA. I started homeschooling my special ed child because they wouldnt' help her. ...Show more

life's quotation?

Ty Kirton: “Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.” James Dean quotes “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” Charles R. Should I major in art education or spanish education?

Simona Bulwinkle: M, the problem with art education is that it is harder and harder to get jobs. School systems are cutting back because they don't have enough money. One of the first things to get cut is art and music. It probably depends upon your state as far as languages go. Some are cutting back more than others. Spanish is likely to be the most popular language in most of the United States, though. Therefore, if you do well in Spanish, and if you want to teach, I would recommend Spanish. Good luck!...Show more

Online Masters in (Secondary) Education?

Donovan Stallons: Study for the GRE and get your masters. Or move somewhere and go to a school that doesn't require the GRE. If you get your masters you will be more desirable to schools and you can command a higher salary. Plus masters looks better when the economy is down and jobs are tight.

Micah Schwarcz: Many Master's programs that lead to certification are in person... because they require student teaching. However, Obama is pushing for more alternate ways to get certification, and with political pressure, I believe more of these online programs will be accepted. As you plan on doing one anyway, check out Walden University's online program. It seems pretty well respected. Even if it doesn't lead to certification in your State (each state has different laws), the coursework will count toward a lot of your certification requirements....Show more

Preschool at 3 or 4 years?

Carli Watterson: 3 is good i went to preschool at 3 an 4

Shaquita Wernicki: Some children never attend preschool prior to kindergarten...they have a parent or family member...maybe even a nanny or other childcare resources to enrich their life. They may do what you do...Kgym...library...park...family time...home learning time. I sure hope you don't buy into the pressure....that some preschools tend to push parents into thinking..."your child is behind academically we'll need to enroll him right away!!!"...please...children need experiences and time to grow with a little nurturing love that teaches along the way...make no mistake here...you are making a good choice..it sounds like he is on target....Show more

Douglass Sarley: Waiting until he is four is fine. My friends kid didn't attend preschool at all and he went to kindergarten without a hitch! I will say that if you find a good preschool it can do wonders for your child. My three year old son just start! ed preschool two days a week for three hours a time and he LOVES it. He is one of the smartest in his class and since he hasn't been in a daycare type setting before its all new and fun to him. He likes to play with the other kids and his teachers are great. english grammer homework help. please help me.?

Brock Anwar: If you did the homework, then why don't you put your answers in the Additional Details and we'll say if any are wrong. That is...if you actually did it, which I doubt. Sorry.

Lissette Semon: one million. it rather is a compound sentence. in the 1st section, instructor is the subject, and tracked is the verb. in the 2nd section, we is an adjective describing scholars, and tended to procrastinate is the verb word. it rather is easy to verify that if we turn the sentence around. the instructor tracked our progression heavily, by using fact we scholars tended to procrastinate. 2. This sentence is rather backwards. Phil went all out in the fourth quarter needing the victory as much as I. the subject is Phil the predicate is went. the item word is as much as I. It is clever if we write, "Phil went all out in the fourth quarter needing the victory as much as i needed the victory." 3. This sentence is awkward. the subject is pals. The verb is "became making". t! he item is Smiths and us. the greater constructive thank you to jot down this sentence would be: Our pals annual ritual became making fudge for the Smiths and us. 4. the subject is father. The predicate word is desperate to inform. the item of the sentence is young little ones. Us is an adjective telling which young little ones. it rather is a complicated sentence. 5. Magazines do a fine job ruining the lives of celeberties and making new ones to make more money. As for a service well that depends on several factors, if it was info on a need to know basis that would be a service ( ex. a possible terrorist attack) that would be a duty or a service.Im not sure your question probaby varies to everyone. its hard to point out the two. i think a service is a duty. i think a product is somthing someone wants. the two vary depending on the context i suppose. i hope this helps...

How do I start Home schooling?

Pam Rampadarat: I should add i guess that the ages of the children I will be home schooling are 7 and 5.. Thanks

Sheron Perrez: Check with your state or local district on what they require. Definitely find a local homeschool group. They are usually so helpful for advice, and your kids can join group activities and field trips, etc. Homeschooling is such an adventure. Don't stress out your first year, there are so many choices for curriculum, you can go crazy. Just have fun and trust your instincts.

Pearlie Medora: Connections Academy.. look it up on the web. good school they send everything you need plus a computer for your kid.

Perry Deshazior: Be sure to look up the homeschooling laws in your state...each state gets to decide their education laws, so what works for you in Ohio is gonna change once you move to Georgia or for your buddy in Michigan. Local homeschool support groups are pretty good for this; they know the state laws well, and have insi! ght as to how the local law enforcement views them; you may live in a place where homeschooling is well-accepted and pretty lenient, or your local superintendent may be on a power trip to see how much authority s/he thinks s/he has. These groups also keep up to date with changes in the laws, which is helpful. Try Googling your nearest metro city with the words “homeschool support” to find a few near you. The next thing to realize is that there's a whole spectrum of what's called "homeschool." Some people sign up with an online version of public school; that’s really technically not “homeschool,” since you're counted as public school student and you’re assigned a teacher, a strict schedule, and predetermined workload as determined by the school district, etc. The dirty little secret here is that the district gets to keep the federal funds for you, as you’re a public school student this way. (Quite obviously, your school district will like this option best. Ofte! n when one queries the school as to the options available for ! “homeschool,” the school administrators will smile sweetly and mention just such an arrangement, conveniently omitting the rest of your options. This “lie by omission” quietly implies that this is the one and only way “homeschooling is done.” There’s a quite a debate in the homeschooling community about whether or not this constitutes an effort by the educational bureaucracy to redefine the meaning of homeschool, and what effect that would have on legislation and regulation of more traditional homeschool. But I digress.)Other people may choose to buy materials from companies and enroll with online schools, but they're "independent" of the school districts, and they don't owe anyone a darned thing...their test scores (if any; few homeschoolers in the traditional sense are obligated to take state standardized tests) are their own business, as is the pace, order or depth at which they choose to go through the material. Other people make up their own curriculum, b! ased on their own personal criteria. Some states want you to keep a portfolio of material to prove you're doing something there at home, other states want you to submit your curriculum for the year for approval, others may require testing that could send you back to public or private school if you fall below a particular percentile...just in case. Again, depends on the state. Still other people endorse what they call "unschooling," and they throw out all books and tests altogether and simply follow what interests them. (See the writings of John Holt, or Google "unschooling" for more on that theory of education.) A good book for anyone over 12 years old is “The Teenage Liberation Handbook: How to Quit School and Get a Real Life and Education,” by Grace Llewellyn. Here’s an excerpt:"Did your guidance counselor ever tell you to consider quitting school? That you have other choices, quite beyond lifelong hamburger flipping or inner-city crack dealing? That legally you ca! n find a way out of school, that once you're out you'll learn and grow ! better, faster, and more naturally than you ever did in school, that there are zillions of alternatives, that you can quit school and still go to A Good College and even have a Real Life in the Suburbs if you so desire? Just in case your counselor never told you these things, I'm going to. That's what this book is for."Even if you don’t hold with what the author has to say, the point of view she has is dramatically different and can be a great springboard to help you get in touch with what you believe school and learning should be like. The book also outlines a very nice reference for curriculum, as well as chapters about dealing with your school, your parents, and your social life. It's meant to be a very usable book. As with many things, there’s a wide spectrum of “unschoolers,” as well. Many of them have a certain set of concepts they want their kids to get and don’t care HOW they get the information, while others take a much more laid-back approach and allow t! he student to set the list of concepts themselves...or not set one at all. All of these people will still consider themselves “unschoolers.”...Show more

Jasper Mangel: I am home schooled and the thing you have to remember is this: Put your child back in school before high school! Once your child is doing high school work (the home schooled way), the public school will not except the credits for what he/she has done over the year. Bottom line, if you home school ! your child up till the 9th grade and he wants to go back to public scho! ol, he will have to start high school over. But they're still poor the first few years they're here and THAT skews the poverty, uninsured and median income numbers....answers 14: http://www.nytimes.com/specials/downsize/21cox.htm...http://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/1988/05/art1full.pdfhttp://www.frbsf.org/econrsrch/wklyltr/el97-07.htm...http://www.dallasfed.org/fed/annual/1999p/ar95.htm...http://money.cnn.com/2005/05/25/pf/record_milliona...http://money.cnn.com/2005/09/28/news/economy/milli......

post bacc and financial aid?

Benny Stehno: If you already have a bachelor's you can't get grants, but you migth qualify for merit based scholarships or feseral student loans. Contact the school's financial aid office for more info on what they offer.

Mark Villifana: in case you do a double significant concurrently, certain. economic help will pay for as a lot as one hundred and fifty% of the credit necessary for one bachelor's diploma. meaning one hundred eighty credit, which might want to be adequate to cover a 2d significant. in case you graduate and bypass again for yet another bachelor's, no.

A question about financial aid?

Davida Gisriel: Most beauty schools aren't accredited in such a way that they can accept federal financial aid. Instead, they either give their own aid, require private loans, or require you to pay for this yourself. Since their aid, what they have, isn't part of the federal aid system, you may qualify for aid at beauty school. You'll need to talk to them. But if your beauty school does offer aid, it'll normally only be loans. And often, you pay for the entire program up-front, and if you drop out, you won't get that money back, so be careful. Be sure this is what you want....Show more

Tomeka Hameen: No. You will need to prove satisfactory academic progress. The beauty school must accept financial aid. Then you will have to prove it by paying and getting good grades for a semester or however, long of time they determine and then ask to be reinstated. You must get good grades in that time and meet all their terms. Contact FAFSA: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/contact.! htm

Comment devenir un US Marshal

Comment devenir un US Marshal

General question about Tivo.?

Ervin Laeger: I've owned a tivo for many years and it doesn't connect to your internet. All it needs is a landline so it can call up the service and download all the new info each day. It does this at 4am. The service fee pays for the guide and information that you get everyday to be able to use the machine. I feel that the fee is ridiculous tho.

Neely Youngblut: You pay a monthly fee for TIVO to keep up with the latest schedules in your area.Every day TIVO gets the latest TV schedules for your area so you can simply tell it to record every episode of a given show & it will do it.I didn't connect my TIVO to a phone line. I connected it right to the internet. TIVO has an ethernet port. You no longer have to provide a phone connection....Show more

Alonso Crehan: it is also possible to download the initial data using your parents' phone, then move the tivo to your internet connection.

Is it bad for your discs (dvd, cd, dvr, etc.) to set them on a speaker? Does the magnetic force do damage?

Marya Fehn: It won't hurt CD, DVD or DVRs, because they are not magnetic discs the way the old-style floppy discs were. They would require heat and intense light to change their properties and destroy the data on them.

What is the difference between Preventative and Comprehensive dental care?

What is the difference between Preventative and Comprehensive dental care?

answers 0:What is the difference between Preventative and Comprehensive dental care? My insurance says it covers diagnostic and preventative care.. yet I have been advised to get an "initial exam" done since I haven't been to the dentist in years, but as I'm looking around I noticed that it's called a "comprehensive" oral exam... so I am confused ..answers 1:Preventive Vs Preventativeanswers 2:Reverse Your Tooth Decay - http://DentalBook.uzaev.com/?bersanswers 3:Universal health care is the idea that anyone should receive medical care regardless of their socio-economic status. Preventative health care is the idea that we should look to prevent illnesses and the spread disease in an attempt to lower the amount of people who need medical care. The difference woul! d be best explained by an example. Under universal health care if you have AIDS you will get the drugs to fight it no matter how much money you have. Preventative health care would provide condoms and spread awareness about safe sex to prevent the virus from spreading, but it would have nothing to do with how you are treated if you have the virus. Universal health care is best when coupled with preventative health care....answers 4:Preventative Versus Preventiveanswers 5:A comprehensive oral exam is a first time ever examination of a patient at a dental office. Any patient going to a dental office for the first time is given a comprehensive exam. Any subsequent exams are recall or preventative exams (aka periodic checkups usually every 6 months).Preventative dental care is regular cleanings and checkups every 6 months while comprehensive dental care is the fixing of dental problems discovered during your checkups....

How do I get Verizon Navigation on my verizon palm treo 700p?

Lino Cawthorne: The navigation tool offered by Verizon (vz navigator) is not currently available for PDAs/smartphones. Which seems absolutely ridiculous to me. You'd have to use 3rd party software., which you could just Google search for...but those have no guarantees.

PDAs: what's your take? Do you think they're cute, or gross?

Devon Kalberer: oh god that's gross.i'm 13 and my bf is 14, and we would nevvverrr make out in front of people like that!! that's disgusting!little kisses, holding hands.. that's cute. ^^THAT'S not. haha

Kaley Lappas: like it doesnt both me but that seems a little extreme so i get y u think its gross

Teodoro Lamond: no, a little kiss here and there is fine, but that is going a little too far.

Thomas Riner: That is gross and they should not be doing crap like that in public, but the pecks on the cheek and holding hands is fine and cute

Leora Klingelhoets: I think if it's done in a tasteful way it can be sweet. Holding hands and kissing each other on the cheek or forehead gets the point across without grossing the other people out around you. There's a time and a place for that sort of affection and it's when you're alone! When I was 12 I was pretty embarrassed just going around holding my boyfriend's hand so maybe I'm just an oddity : )...Show more

Terrell Lawman: No, that's not cool. I see nothing wrong with the pecks on the cheeks, hugs, and holding hands. The other stuff is for your alone time, not in public. And for God sakes, they are only 12 and 13....that is so bad at that age. I would of never even thought about that at that age. I had my first kiss at age 13, but that was it until I was 16 and going steady with my first bf. What is the world coming to!

Doreatha Kjellsen: My first question is,"WHERE ARE THE POOL ATTENDANTS?" And if done tastefully it can be romantic for anyone at any age.

Brock Hladik: No. It is not cute, and I don't like seeing it. I don't mind closeness, but you can tell couples when they are together. I don't need to see a porn movie when I go out. Disgusting.

Leticia Laiben: hahahHAHA 12 and 13? They've probably seen adults doing it.

Clinton Migliori: pda is acceptable in certain situations and in certain amounts. what you're friend emily did is not some! thing that i would recommend doing in public if you want the p! eople you're around to respect you. heavy displays of affection are personal and should be kept private. holding hands, kissing with minimal tongue, thats fine.even playfully touching your partner's butt or holding them from behind, wrapping your arms around their waist, pda is a way to let the person you are with as well as the people around you know how much you care for your partner which is a healthy form of (physical) communication.however, there is an amendment to the rules of pda- and that is the bathing suit clause. when you are exposing so much of your body in public, keep pda levels low. you want to leave your private behavior just that- private- and not let the people around you- whether you know them or not- in on what you do when you're alone.a relationship is special because of how you share your body with another person, so don't put your affections on display for the whole world to see...Show more

Raymundo Kyser: That is totally uncalled for. There's n! othing wrong with a little kiss, holding hands, and hugging but anything more and it shouldn't be going on! AROUND KIDS?!?!? Tell her that it's inappropriate. (12 and 13? WHOA!)

Arlen Hamper: PDA! is rude and i hate it!!!We will be hanging out with a whole bunch of people and my friends will be like all over their bf`s! Its like you have time to be all over eachother some where else. When i think of PDA i think people use it to make other people jealous.. Cause really are you that horny you need to be all on your boyfriends lap, kissing him and giving him hickys and stuff.PDA is rude to me, and i dont do pda.i have respect for myself and people around me. :)...Show more

Billie Bratchett: THATS SICKWHEN YOU SAID THERE AGE I LITERALLY YELLED OUT EWWWWWWW!UH I HAVE THAT PICTURE IN MY HEAD NOW!UHHH! SO WRONG!THEY NEED A TOLL ON THEIR HORMONES!

Booker Moros: Personally, a little bit is sweet and it shows that the couple are connected and it tells everybody basic! ally that they are a "team"but you are right, going full out like that ! is NAWT right-i mean lets be for real, in front of lil kids???Naw way....Show more

Michel Mccaulley: Doing it in front of little kids, I think, is kinda wrong. But they're only twelve, what the hell do they know.

Sheldon Lally: Like massive makeout sessions in public are nasty, but small signs of affection are cute! :)

Hye Caulley: ok so im really not saying that what they did was right, but try to see it from their side..has she ever had a bf before? she was probably just overwhelmed. try taking her aside and explaining how bad it looks and how it makes other people feel awkward and embarrassed. but try to do it gently, because you never know she might take it the wrong way :/good luck :)

Valentine Michaud: little kisses and holding hands is cute but theres a fine line between cute and disgusting, and your friend went way past that.

Clifford Riggleman: i think it's gross and not gross at the same time. The reason it is is because they shouldn'! t do it in public or in front of people you know. The reason i don't think it is, is cause it depends on what age you are if your around 13 annd 14 then i think it was ok

Delmer Pectol: i just threw up lunch.

Dick Baumgarten: Well, little kisses/pecks on the lips and cheeks is fine in public but full on make out in the pool in front of kids is just a little weird...

Conrad Puleio: ok this is my take on it... ya i think pda is cute but thats 2 much.holdin hands, pecks on the cheeks, hugs, and stuff like that are cute... but wat that sounds like is too much.and the age is... wow...Show more

Dedra Furguson: Gross, no matter what the age. even worse as you get older. Holding hands is fine, but unless one of you just got back from war, or he just proposed stay off of eachother. I went to my daughters preschool graduation and during the ceremony there were too people making out they must have been in their 20's. come on talk about a time and a place

United States Air force question?

United States Air force question?

answers 0:I've been doing extensive research for weeks on joining the Air Force and I only hear good things from anyone in it as it as if there are little to no draw backs. I have not personally met anyone who has been in the AF but many people from other branches that I've spoken to tend to regret joining the military and usually come out with no real civilian career path as if they are essentially starting over in life (education and career life) and likely use the military solely for the free education, is this the same for airmen out in the civilian world? Guys or girls that joined with a significant other at home- how was the separation and would you join again even if it meant ending a lengthy relationship? Airmen, what job do you have in the AF? Do you like it? What are the pros and cons of your specific job?, and can your job get ! you a career if you left the military tomorrow? (Please be honest). What are the jobs that I should be looking to try to get? And why? What jobs should I probably stay away from? If you're in the AF and don't like it please explain why. I'm interested in joining for all the right reasons and I realize that I may be coming off the wrong way but i assure you that I don't intend it to be that way. Naturally I'm nervous about the thought of deciding on a complete life changing experience, especially at age 25. Thank you very much in advance for your time and help!...Show moreanswers 1:Joining at 25? Things must really BAD out there. Depending on the person, the AF or sany military service can be worthwhile. You can learn a trade which is in need once out. As you basically said, ther is no call for riflemen in civilian US. it's up to the enlistee to determine if the MOS/AFSC will provide training for the future. It's more difficult for one joining the AF to get that AFSC which! will help their futue than one joining the US Army. Reason - ! the Army will guarantee MOS training given the person's ASVAB and line scores. Plus physical qualifications. The AF won't guarantee anything except a general areaa of jobs. If one gets the right AFSC, things in the AF can be good. In the Guard and reserves, one joins into a MOS/AFSC. however, the training is only 39 days a year....answers 2:i joined the air force at 18 not knowing what i wanted to do and i got picked for the mechanical field. i found out at the end of basic that i was going to be a hycraulic mechanic. they send me to chanute afb in illinois for aircraft/pneudraulic sytems mechanic and worked various aircraft during my career. stayed 22 years. loved it. what else could you ask for, a steady paycheck, free meals, free dental/medical. back then you could be send tdy all over the world. went from coast to coast and even overseas with a recovery team to fix an airplane to come back to the states. i would do it over again. no regrets....answers 3:okay, first off,! the military, not even the air force is a job training programits just not there to train you in a job, so you can leave and get a civilian job2. so other than basic things like plumber, construction, auto mechanic, certain medical jobs, fork lift driversmost military jobs, have no civilian counter partsthats why they offer theGI BIll -- so you can go get an education or job training to find a job.2. there is no right or wrong reasons to enlist -- you talk to 100 people, then your gonna get 100 different answers on why they enlisted...answers 4:There's hardships like being posted to isolated bases. The friends you make are friends for life. You always have a bed and a meal. All jobs have ups and downs, military is no exception.answers 5:benifits, lots. college payed for, they help you find jobs there are so many resources people just dont know about
