Valentine Willinger: Nope....the threaded post on your tripod will not be able to stick up within the slot of the bracket. The slot is meant to be narrow so that the tightening knob won't fall out. If your cam has an accessory shoe on top, you can use that instead of the VCT-S30L. You can even get brackets to add more then one accessory. If your cam doesn't have a shoe mount, a work around for tripod use is to use a clamp on type bracket (to clamp on tripod).
