Why is the government allowing corporations to run it?

Margy Sandquist: Because the Supreme Court deemed it legal for corporations to give unlimited funds to candidates and to parties. It thus became legal for America to be for sale to the highest bidder.

Derrick Smsith: Well, to answer your (really general) question, its basically because we live in a society where being well-off and living the rich life is more valued than anything else. Live life and have fun, and whatever anyone else does is their own problem. Thats the general mentality. The US government reflects the actions of the American people since it is elected by the people.
